Employee Volunteering with TimeBank
Giving something back to your local community, making a difference, developing staff skills and keeping staff motivated... how can you do all of these things (without the stress)?
An employee volunteering scheme gives staff paid time off to volunteer with local organisations, developing and sharing skills. Not only do staff benefit but it also has a really positive impact in the local community; putting your HR or community investment goals into action.

TimeBank is leading the way by developing a fresh approach to employee volunteering. Whether you want a standard package or want lots of flexibility, we’ve got a range of schemes to suit your needs (and budget). Whichever scheme you choose, we make sure your employees have a rewarding volunteering experience – every time.
T-Mobile, Sony and the Cabinet Office decided to commit to long-term employee volunteering schemes. We helped them to develop bespoke schemes, here’s more about them:
T-Mobile
T-Mobile wanted to introduce an employee volunteering scheme as part of their Community Investment Programme. This helps them to not only make a positive impact on the local community but it’s a great way to develop employees’ skills.
Sony UK
Employee volunteering can really boost morale; employees feel valued and proud to work for their organisation. Have a listen to what Sony UK said about their scheme.

Cabinet Office
The Cabinet Office wanted to lead the way in employee volunteering. Team Challenges have been really popular. They’re great for team building and for developing cross-department working.
Gus O’Donnell, Cabinet Secretary and Head of the Home Civil Service says:
"I’m a massive fan. Volunteering is a tremendous learning and development opportunity and can only help improve the way we work. It’s a net gain for the Cabinet Office. It’s a chance to engage with the frontline and learn about policy issues."
